Parking is available in the North, South, and West lots. Make sure to cool off with a Del’s Frozen Lemonade while you’re there! Roger Wheeler State Beach, Scarborough State Beaches, and Salty Brine State Beach are alternative options. Narrow River Kayaks
Kayaks, Stand Up Paddlesboards (SUPs) and Canoes are a great way to get out and explore the nearby narrow river. While we love our daily beach trip, this is a great way to break up the week while still enjoying the beautiful waters of summer. Don’t forget your sunscreen and we recommend booking early.

Surf and Stand Up Paddleboard Lessons
Narragansett beaches have some of the best waves in the area and are a great place to learn to surf or paddleboard. Take a lesson or sign the kids up for a four day surf camp at Narragansett Surf and Skate. And if surfing isn’t your forte, feel free to use the two house boogie boards for your beach trips.

Fishing
The waters here hold some of the world’s biggest striped bass. Grab a half or full day charter with one of several guides that typically leave from the Galilee area. We recommend Captain Earl with Aces Wild Charters. He runs a comfortable 35’ boat and knows where all the best honey holes are, just don’t share the hot spots after your trip!

Adventureland Park
Mini-golf, bumper boats, go-karts, all the typical family fun can be found at Adventureland. Catch some air on the Extreme Big Air Jumper or ride the carousel with he littles. There’s something for everyone here in this Point Judith classic family spot.

Whalers Brewery
What’s a hot summer day without some cold summer suds? Check out one of the many local brews just over the river at Whalers Brewery in South Kingston. They’ve got a great taproom to enjoy on-site and are the perfect place to keep the cooler full all week. On Tuesday nights they host an artisan market, a perfect chance to pickup some art or souvenirs while supporting local small businesses.

Block Island
It is hard to imagine a better day trip than Block Island. Teeming with local wildlife, beachside cocktails, and quintessential New England Island charm, it’s truly one of our favorite local gems. And Bloody Marys on the ferry just hit different. Catch the short boat ride from Point Judith and return in the evening. Adventurers can rent bicycles or mopeds or hike the gorgeous Mohegan Bluffs. Rent an umbrella at Ballards for drinks on the beach and explore some of Rhode Island’s best coastal cuisine at numerous award winning restaurants. Reservations for the ferry, umbrellas at Ballards, and other activities are best made in advance as this is a very popular destination in summer.

Newport
Head over the nearby Newport bridge to explore the famed island enclave of Newport. Enjoy the beautiful Cliffwalk and be sure to schedule a visit to one of the the renowned historic mansions of the Gilded Age. As one of New England’s premier sailing and historically preserved destinations, the beauty and sites of this town attract over three million visitors each year. It’s an easy day trip and one we think well worth a short drive.
